Dreambuckers are the ultimate classic-meets-modern humbucker duet. The Dreambucker PK, however, features a slightly modified neck pickup blueprint we designed to meet the specific needs of our good friend and Carondelet artist Peter Klett of Candlebox.
Like standard Dreambuckers, Peter's bridge pickup is driven by a vintage PAF-like Alnico 2 magnet alongside a secondary Alnico 5 for enhanced articulation and slice. The neck pickup is driven by an Alnico 3, a less magnetic and subsequently more woody and organic alloy.
In Peter's case, however, we replace his neck pickup's secondary A5 with hard maple, for a creamier, more resonant and more vintage-PAF-like neck pickup tone.
DELIVERY TIMES: Carondelet pickups are wound and assembled by hand, one at a time. Due to speed limitations in the hand-crafted process and overall demand, lead times for Carondelet pickups typically range from four to six weeks.
