"NOLA" humbuckers blend the power, pummel and fury of active humbuckers with the articulation, sensitivity and ambient 3D characteristics of great passive humbuckers.
And as the name implies, NOLAs are designed specifically to emulate the tones and bones, the feel and steel, of sludge, groove, thrash and doom metal of New Orleans and beyond.
The bridge position is a whopping 23.45K DCR and inductance over 11 henries. Without zero preamps or 9-volt batteries. The neck pickup is a powerful as most high output bridge position humbuckers, yet it retains the articulation and cleans up as nicely as traditional output neck pickups.
We achieve the NOLA pickups' output by using an unusual and rare pickup coil wire that is insanely hard to source and even more difficult to hand-wind into pickups; massive ceramic magnets (yes, more than one); and 12 pole slugs made of 1215 Steel to maximize magnetic transfer and subsequent attack, sear and slice.

DELIVERY TIMES: Most Carondelet pickups are wound and assembled by hand, one at a time. Due to speed limitations in the hand-crafted process and overall demand, lead times for Carondelet pickups typically range from two to four weeks.
