Special Ceramic

Our Special Ceramic's catalyst was players we admire who use Gibson's higher output ceramic rock humbuckers. Specifically, Gibson's 500T Super Ceramic and Ben Wells of Black Stone Cherry; and Gibson's Dirty Fingers and Whitesnake's John Sykes. 

R&D was to start with our most popular 15Kish bridge humbucker, Secret Sauce, swap its Alnico 5 magnet for two Ceramic 8 magnets, and tweak the blueprint to tastes from there. 

But as fate (luck?) would have it, the magnets swap was all it took ... the pickup was perfect right out of the gate.

The singing, harmonically alive voice and ultra touch sensitivity of Secret Sauce is preserved in Special Ceramic. But its C8 magnets provide a little more low-mid throat and a subtle layer of high end sizzle.

DELIVERY TIMES: Most Carondelet pickups are wound and assembled by hand, one at a time. Due to speed limitations in the hand-crafted process and overall demand, lead times for Carondelet pickups typically range from two to four weeks.
